Breakthrough Ride - Dallas to Oklahoma City
 
 
Monday morning in Dallas, Texas. The Breakthrough Ride signing event takes place in Downtown Dallas at Pegasus Plaza on Main Street. I (on the right) meet my riding partner for the day, Harry Johns, CEO of the Alzheimer’s Association, who is determined to experience our Texan sun and warmth first hand. I am momentarily disoriented when Rong Wang, my colleague who had just finished the relay leg from Abilene to Dallas, hands me a squishy little brain instead of a baton... That brain would find its place in my Camelbak for the next three days of the ride to Oklahoma City.
